team working

Georgia Tech offers several educational assistance programs for its faculty and staff. These programs provide a tuition and mandatory fee waiver or reimbursement to full-time employees and research titled faculty. For information on the specific programs offered, review the information below or email eduassist@gatech.edu.

Key Changes

The current process is managed by GTHR and is a manual process:

  • Employee completes PDF forms

  • Forms are manually routed via DocuSign

  • TAP Coordinator processes each paper request manually and tracks via Excel

  • Communication occurs via email

  • Applications are often sent back to the employee due to data entry errors or incomplete application

The future process will be managed by ASC and will be digitized in ServiceNow

  • Employee will complete a digital form in ServiceNow (eliminates manual form) and can track their request live

  • Communication will occur via ServiceNow case

  • Approvals will automatically be routed when the employee submits their request

  • Applications will incorporate multiple levels of data validation (e.g., prepopulating HR data, drop-downs, required fields, etc.)
