The Service Awards program is an opportunity for Georgia Tech to celebrate and recognize employees who have served the Georgia Tech community for 10 years and 25 years. Georgia Tech’s leadership understands that longevity is significant and appreciates the service given to the Tech community. A Service Awards ceremony is held each spring as an opportunity to be rewarded for those endeavors.

Highlights of Recent Years

2017

On April 11, 2017, 274 employees were honored for their years of service to Georgia Tech at the beautiful Renaissance Atlanta Midtown Hotel for a special luncheon. Two hundred and twenty-seven employees celebrated their 10-year work anniversary with the Institute and 47 celebrated 25 years. President G. P. “Bud” Peterson, Provost Rafael L. Bras, and AVP of Human Resources, Kim Harrington, recognized the employees' combined nearly 3,500 years of service to Georgia Tech. For a complete list of recipients, see page 3 in The Whistle

On April 6, 2016, the Institute recognized more than 300 employees for their long-term service to Georgia Tech. President G.P. "Bud" Peterson celebrated 266 employees for reaching their 10-year mark and 53 employees for reaching their 25-year mark. In total, these individuals have given roughly 8.2 million hours to the Institute. Georgia Tech is honored by the longevity of such commitments and appreciates the service of each employee. In 2015, the annual service awards program recognized 126 employees who have dedicated 10 and 25 years of service to the Institute. More than 3.2 million hours of combined work has been provided by the 10- and 25-year employees.
